Haulage

Erith are the forerunners in the recycling and waste industry with fifty years’ experience.  The majority of spoil removal and aggregate supply are to London and the home counties utilising different sources to reduce our carbon footprint and minimise the number of vehicles required whilst still maintaining our client’s daily requirements.

Erith have experience in being involved in large multi-site projects collaborating with different contractors such as the Olympic Park and Crossrail.  By early contractor involvement we are able to enhance project planning with strategic management routing in conjunction with project planning conditions.

With the latest government focus being placed on the safe co-existence of both vulnerable road users and trucks, especially within London, Erith Haulage work to better than best practice. As a result, Erith have invested heavily in training and additional safety devices to the fleet.  All Erith wagons are fitted with 360° recording cameras.  Cameras are visible for the driver on a monitor in the cab to minimise blind spots and improve visibility.  All footage is recorded onto a hard drive for up to three months for internal and external review in the case of an incident.  With continuous improvement at the forefront of everything that Erith do the next generation of Low entry high visibility cabs have been introduced assisting the driver with improved direct vision which has been awarded a five-star rating (the highest) by the Direct Vision Scheme.

Erith are committed to operating in accordance with the Environment Agency’s waste hierarchy by reducing, reusing and recycling waste streams in preference to disposal.  Erith will comply with the waste minimisation and management requirements and consider issues such as space constraints, timescales, financial incentive and markets, and proximity when considering waste management issues.  Our fleet of operating vehicles have the ability to facilitate 24hr requirements 7 days a week. Our transport logistics team can receive and respond to out of hours enquiries with a dedicated route of communication.
