Swanton
Swanton started with 1 lead engineer in 2010 working on internal engineering schemes for Erith Contractors supporting their London demolition projects.
Services ranged from façade support, scaffold design and checking of sub contractor designs, building stability review and load testing of floor slabs. Since then the team has evolved and developed over the years with Swantest headed by Conor McHugh now employing seven staff providing testing / monitoring and support services to the internal group and external clients ranging from floor tests, geotechnical site testing, anchor installation and testing, pre-loading services and weld inspections.
Swanton consulting has also developed and grown to provide engineering services and support at every stage of a project, tender through to handover with works ranging from basement pile design, propping design and sequence evolution, gantry design, façade retentions and stability review of demolition schemes being our core internal works.
External clients come to Swanton for continuity of construction schemes where we support their works after demolition and enabling phases, specialist contractor design elements and checking of permanent works in the temporary condition. Total number of engineers and technicians now sits at around 29 individuals, a major increase from 2010.
